RESCUE Collaborative Community

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is participating in the RESCUE Collaborative Community, recognising the public health importance of this topic.  Specifically, there are a number of potential benefits in this regard, including opportunities to improve/personalize the training/onboarding process for diabetes devices to reduce the potential associated burden; standardize/harmonization of the detection process so that suicide events can be more accurately accounted for; and proactive screening and intervention with sustained involvement from HCPs and other stakeholders to reduce the likelihood of ISI and suicide.
